Can you perform a Wedding?

In Florida, a Notary Public is authorized to officiate weddings. Let one of our experienced officiants help make your ceremony memorable.

Preparation for the Ceremony:

Complete a Pre-Marital Course (optional)
Obtain a Marriage License
Submit the Marriage License to the officiant prior to the ceremony

The Marriage License is valid for 60 days. If no Pre-Marital Course is attended, a 3-day waiting period applies. This waiting period does not apply to couples with a Marriage License from another state. Be sure to check your state’s requirements if applicable.

If the signer lacks an acceptable ID:

A sworn statement from a credible witness who knows both the signer and notary, or
Two sworn statements from credible witnesses who know the signer, with verified identities.

Witnesses must confirm the signer’s identity and that obtaining another form of ID is impractical. Witnesses must not have financial interest in the transaction.
